TOTW Predictions – Week 41

TOTW Predictions - Week 41

12/18 last week which is a reasonable score. The same leagues as last week are the ones which will feature again this week. I still do not have a K-League source, so if anyone has one it would be greatly appreciated.

Last week we were 67% accurate..

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Sean Johnson – GK – 66 OVR
This was one of my easier decisions after Johnson saved a last minute penalty to secure the 1-0 win for Chicago against New England. Johnson made a total of seven saves including the penalty and is therefore a shoe in for this weeks team.

Alexander Milošević – CB – 69 OVR
Milosevic scored one of AIK’s three goals in their 3-0 win. He is not the only AIK player to feature but I can see them both claiming a place this week.

Vegard Forren – CB – 75 OVR
Forren scored the only goal of the game for Molde to continue their impressive run and make it 10 games unbeaten in all competitions along with going six points clear at the top of the table.

Chad Marshall – CB – 68 OVR
Chad Marshall was a rock at the back for Seattle during their 2-0 win. Chad broke down attack after attack to deny Portland opportunities to grab a goal and by doing so he deservedly picked the the MOTM award.

Haris Radetinac – RM – 67 OVR
In what turned out to be arguably the game of the week Djurgårdens beat Norrkoping 5-3. Haris scored one of the five as well as assisting another three.

Martin Ericsson – CM – 71 OVR
Ericsson claimed a goal and two assists for Hacken in their 4-1 win. There has been so many excellent performances this week in the Swedish league that I could easily make a full 18 from them alone.

Ibrahim Moro – CM – 65 OVR
For the second week running I have predicted two AIK players in the same week. Moro claimed a goal and assist for AIK in their previously mentioned 3-0 win. I don’t have a reliable ALV source atm so I am not sure who was officially MOTM.

Christian Grindheim – CM – 70 OVR
Grindhelm claimed a goal and assist for Vålerenga in their 2-2 draw. Usually I find the Tipp easy to get suggestions from however strangely I struggled this week.

Fagner – ST – 67 OVR
Fagner scored both of Busan’s two goals in their 2-2 draw. As I have stated at the top if anyone has a good K-league source which shows assists and MOTM etc I will love you forever!

Thierry Henry – ST – 78 OVR
37 Years old and still pulling the strings after playing out of his skin for NYRB during their 4-1 win. Henry was involved in all four of New York’s goals claiming a goal and three assists.

Jermain Defoe – ST – 81 OVR
A bit of an iffy choice due to the fact his previous IF came in TOTW 38, just three game-weeks ago. However that does not mean that Defoe does not deserve to be here after scoring twice for Toronto during their 4-2 win. Alternatively Deshorn Brown could make it for his outstanding performance in his sides 3-3 draw.

Bill Hamid – GK – 67 OVR
The sub goalkeeper was the hardest to select this week but in the end I decided to go with a second MLS keeper. Hamid made 8 saves in DC’s 2-1 win. Without Hamid DC would of lost the game as on numerous occasions he pulled off some top drawer saves.

Andrew Boyle – CB – 57 OVR
Boyle was outstanding for Dundalk in their impressive 1-0 win against Shamrock. Dundalk upset Shamrock and that was largely down to Boyle in the center of defence.

Lee Jong Ho – RM – 61 OVR
Lee scored twice for Chunnam in a midweek 3-1 victory against Gyeongnam. Other possible K-league options include Cha Du Ri, Kim Jin Kyu and Han Kyo Won.

Emil Forsberg – LM – 64 OVR
Forsberg found the net three times for Malmo in their 3-0 win. Had it not of been for Henry Forsberg would have made the banner this week but Henry is Henry so he wins hands down.

Dom Dwyer – ST – 63 OVR
Dwyer scored both of Kansas city’s goals in their 2-1 win. Alternatively we could see Erton Fejzullahu feature but I believe I have enough Alv players already.

Rory Patterson – ST – 61 OVR
Rory Patterson scored twice for Derry as well as claiming an assist during their enthatic 5-0 win. Patrick McEleney also scored twice and claimed two assists but because he features in this weeks team he will miss out.

Matthías Vilhjálmsson – ST – 61 OVR
Is this the “start” of a trend? Two IF Start IF’s in two weeks. This time Start won 2-1 against Sandnes with Matthías Vilhjálmsson claiming both of the goals and therefore picking up the MOTM award.
