FIFA WORLD CUP MOTMS – 83 LINGARD, 84 CUADRADO, 82 INUI

FIFA WORLD CUP MOTMS

The final day of Matchday 2 brought some exciting finishes between national teams in Groups G and H. England blew out Central American opponents, 6-1, off braces from Harry Kane and Jesse Lingard. Japan and Senegal played to an exciting 2-2 draw, and Juan Cuadrado and Colombia sent Poland home with a 3-0 victory.
John Stones may have started the scoring between England and Panama, and captain Harry Kane bagged a fluky hat-trick, but it was Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard that grabbed headlines with his 36th minute strike. His goal put The Three Lions up 3-0 and was the dagger that effectively put the game to bed. His 80-rated card goes to an 83 overall.
Japanese midfielder Takashi Inui, who plays for Spanish side Real Betis, equalized for Japan in the 34th minute after Senegal had taken a 1-0 lead off a Sadio Mane goal 11 minutes in. The two teams played to a riveting 2-2 tie and will have everything to play for as Matchday 3 rolls around. Inui’s 78-overall card is boosted to an 82.
Juan Cuadrado put La Tricolor up 3-0 against Poland, five minutes after captain Radamel Falcao doubled Colombia’s 1-0 advantage in the 70th. The Juventus midfielder’s rating goes from 82 to an 84 overall. As always, if the three items are in your club, they have been dynamically updated in the FIFA 18 World Cup mode; their ratings are boosted automatically.
